Young Adult Disvision
is Taking Off!
Young Adults are the future of the greater Palm Springs
community, but for a number of years it's been hard to build
a strong group. In 2006, a group of emerging leaders took a
mission to Israel, but fizzled as some of the attendees
moved from the area. In 2008, a small committee tried to
bring grassroots fundraising to the desert, but that too
fell on deaf ears. The board of the Federation still felt it
important to their future to keep trying at a Young Adult
Division.
In 2010, YAD
was born. Young Adults last year hosted happy hour at the
Yard House. December brought special
guest speaker Dr. Ralph Nurnberger, Georgetown University
Professor and Political Analyst for a group discussion.
This new
affinity group also known as J-Connect targets 25 to 45 year old
adults who want to make a difference in their community and
the lives of Jews in Israel and around the world. Consider
