Volunteer

The Jewish Federation welcomes volunteers to help in our office with various projects. Consider spending a few hours a week answering phones, assisting with mailings, advertising, and website updates. We value your training and skills, but no experience is necessary.

Jewish Community School of the Desert (JCSD) welcomes volunteers as tutors and library assistants, as well as people with special interest to share in an after school program.

Shabbat In a Bag. In conjunction with Jewish Family Service (JFS), take Shabbat to a local senior. We give them Shabbat candles, a wine cup, a CD player and a CD of Shabbat prayers. Volunteers provide grape juice, a challah and an hour of their time on a regular basis. Many caring relationships have developed from this program.
