Shalom Gay & Lesbian Jews of the Desert

Join the Shalom: Gay & Lesbian Jews of the Desert and enjoy an atmosphere where Gay and Lesbian Jews come together in a neutral environment providing you a place to meet in a friendly sociable Jewish atmosphere.

The mission of Shalom: Gay & Lesbian Jews of the Desert is to bring together Gay and Lesbian Jews together in a neutral environment and to provide a means where people can meet in a friendly sociable atmosphere. Shalom: Gay & Lesbian Jews of the Desert also provides and organizes events and/or activities, including: “VODKA & LATKES”, “PURIM POTLUCK”, and “PASSOVER SEDER”. The group is now numbering over 450 people and valuable relationships are being formed.

Membership is open to all Gay and Lesbians of Jewish faith or birth as well as anyone who has identified themselves as being friends of GLBT&Q either through their relationship with a Shalom member or by some other means.

Federation

The Jewish Federation of Palm Springs and Desert Area also subsidizes our programs. Therefore, any contributions to the Federation also assists the programs and activities of Shalom group. The Federation is committed to Tikun Olam, the healing of the world, and from donations the Federation is able to touch thousands of lives locally, in Israel and in over 55 countries around the globe. Your support strengthens the Jewish future by making it possible to involve the next generation while your compassion mends those whose lives are broken and offers hope to those who have none.

Activities & Events
