Jewish National Fund “Love of Israel” Dinner
JNF’s Second Annual Dinner Slated for December 2

The Jewish National Fund of Palm Springs and Desert Area will bring Matan Vilnai, Deputy Defense Minister of Israel, and Russell Robinson, CEO, JNF of America, to headline the second annual “Love of Israel” Dinner to be held on Tuesday, December 2nd at the Rancho Las Palmas Resort in Rancho Mirage. Cocktails are at 5:15 pm, followed by the dinner program at 6:00 pm. Dinner chairs Marty Cohn and Cheryl Fey and their committee have arranged a very special evening and urge the community to join them.

Desert Chair Bob Fey states that proceeds from the evening will support our community’s project: Development of a new Rehabilitation Vocational Training Workshop at Aleh Negev Rehabilitation Village for People with Special Needs. Co-chair Marty Cohn adds, “Through your support we can turn disabilities into opportunities.”

Aleh Negev, located in Israel’s Southern desert, the Negev, is Israel’s largest and most advanced network of residential facilities for children with severe physical and mental disabilities. The current expansion is in response to the increasing need for the care of disabled peoples over the age of 21. Aleh Negev will eventually be home to over 500 residential adults with disabilities and will serve some 12,000 children and young adults with disabilities on an outpatient basis.

Dinner couvert is $75 per person. For reservations call JNF at 760-864-6208. Please RSVP by November 24, 2008.
